Our client is a European bank with more than 60 years in the market, built around commercial lending and deposit accounts, running its core technology on a Microsoft platform throughout.

The bank's board wanted a full picture of how cybersecurity had been managed over the previous three years but turning years of logs and internal documentation into something a board could actually read wasn't something the internal IT team had the design skills or bandwidth to handle alone:

• Incident logs, user activity records, network traffic data, and patch history sat in SharePoint with no reporting layer built on top of any of it
• Incident response, antivirus coverage, phishing exposure, and overall security maturity were each tracked separately, with nothing pulling them into one picture
