Displaying NetSuite Data Access in Salesforce Without Expensive Integration

Background - The Client Challenge
A client was transitioning their sales team from NetSuite to Salesforce to reduce licensing costs.
However, the sales team still needed access to key NetSuite data, including:
- Item records with inventory quantities by location
- Invoices linked to sales orders (with printing capability)
- Fulfillment details for shipment tracking
The initial plan was to create custom Salesforce objects and integrate the data using Boomi — but this required a large budget, lengthy development, and ongoing maintenance.
Our Solution
We proposed a lightweight, cost-effective integration using:
- SuiteLet in NetSuite
- Generated a custom HTML page displaying the required records.
- Included real-time inventory, invoice, and fulfillment data.
- VisualForce Pages in Salesforce
- Embedded the SuiteLet page directly into Salesforce.
- Linked it to Order and Product objects so sales reps could view data instantly.
- Direct Action from Salesforce
- Allowed printing of NetSuite invoices directly from Salesforce without switching systems.
Business Impact
- Cost Savings: Eliminated the need for extra NetSuite licenses and heavy middleware integration.
- Speed: Delivered the solution much faster than a traditional integration project.
- User Experience: Sales reps accessed critical NetSuite data directly from Salesforce.
- Simplicity: No new Salesforce objects or fields required.
